چکیده

Hydraulic fracturing is an important technical measure for coalbed methane (CBM) development, and the propagation of fractures in target coal seam induced by hydraulic related to stimulation performance CBM recovery. Therefore, effective monitoring fracture development during reservoir critical engineering. In this paper, microseismic technology was used monitor spatial temporal characteristics extension well Zhengzhuang Region, Southern Qinshui Basin, China. Based on scanning data imaging processing, three-dimensional shape vertical wells after can be quantified, ZHSY-1, main direction identified as NE106°, length 426 m, area 1.6 × 10 5 m 2 . It found that does not develop continuously time space with fluid injection, regions are scattered throughout space, formation intermittent. After a large amount injection Well has been significantly increased, gas production improved, which confirmed field data. This study provides application case studying effect using technology, reference engineering development.

Modeling 3d Hydraulic Fracture Propagation and Thermal Fracturing Using Virtual Multidimensional Internal Bonds

Fracture propagation, especially for fractures emanating from inclined wellbores and closed natural fracture often involves Mode I, Mode II, and at times Mode III fracture pattern simultaneously. In this paper a Virtual Multidimensional Internal Bond (VMIB) model is presented to simulate 3D mixedmode fracture propagation. To represent the contact and friction between fracture surfaces, a threed...

Location of Microearthquakes Induced by Hydraulic Fracturing

This paper examines the problem of locating microearthquakes induced by hydraulic fracturing using seismic arrival time data. In addition to the use of absolute arrival times measured for individual events, we consider the use of differential arrival times amongst a set of two or more seismic events as a means of constralning their locations relative to one another. Differential arrival times c...

Hydraulic Fracturing Simulation for Fracture Networks

The term ‘Unconventional Reservoirs’ is used in the oil and gas industry for hydrocarbon reservoirs that have very low permeability in the magnitude of microdarcy (μd) and therefore rely on artificially introducing pathways for fluids and gases, commonly by using hydraulic fracturing techniques, to enable economic production. This approach of using fracturing stimulation campaigns is also incre...

Hydraulic Fracturing and Seismicity in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin

The development of most unconventional oil and gas resources relies upon subsurface injection of very large volumes of fluids, which can induce earthquakes by activating slip on a nearby fault. During the last 5 years, accelerated oilfield fluid injection has led to a sharp increase in the rate of earthquakes in some parts of North America. In the central United States, most induced seismicity ...
